Active participation of younger people into gender equality issues.

Women Do Business’s main aim is to promote female entrepreneurship and the elimination of stereotypes that keep women away from starting and growing and business. By including more young people into our network we will have the chance to educate them and help them to stay away from the stereotypes that will possibly keep them away in the future. In addition, the participation of younger people into the activities of our organisations will help us understand better the problems they face into labor market and let them express the obstacles they’re facing and the ideas they have into a safe network. Furthermore, we believe that is important to cultivate into younger people’s minds the principle of gender equality in every life sector. Finally, as an NGO we wish to promote to younger generations the value of volunteerism and active citizenship through team work. For all these reasons, we seek for creative ways to attract the interest of younger people and educate them on gender equality.

Underlying problem(s) or opportunity/ies Women Do Business is a NGO who promotes female entrepreneurship and gender equality in the labor market. As an organisation who directs to women of all ages we try to find ways to attract more young people to participate into our network. We observed that the participation of young people into our activities is low, so we have the need to promote gender equality and the elimination of stereotypes especially in business sector through the younger generations.
Reason for facing this particular problem or opportunity Women Do Business primarily addresses to women who wish to have their own business, so it's normal that our audience includes women in a more mature age. Although, younger women are the entrepreneurs of the future and through our most important pillars of action which are empowerment and education they could easily develop their skills and self esteem and be more prepared to have a dynamic presence into business world.
Evidence to support the problem or opportunity The majority of women who participate into our network is above the age of 30.
